Knots in the Sky was born at the intersection of quiet bedside care and intentional craftsmanship. Our founder, Sky, spent years working as a NICU nurse—a world where there are no shortcuts, every detail matters, and care is delivered with absolute patience. 

That same deep-seated commitment to quiet focus and uncompromising quality goes into every loop of our hook. What began as a calming practice during nursing school evolved into a studio dedicated to creating lasting, slow-made gifts for life’s sweetest chapters.

Our Design Philosophy

We live in a fast-market world of disposable trends and short-lived gifts. We build the opposite: slow-made treasures designed to anchor memories and bring quiet warmth to your daily spaces. Every piece leaving our studio is guided by three core promises:

• Uncompromising Safety & Materials: Drawing from Sky's healthcare background, we select Oeko-Tex certified yarns free from harmful chemicals. Whether held by little hands or resting on a work desk, our pieces meet the highest standard of non-toxic purity.

• Heirloom Construction: Craftsmanship should outlast the moment. Using high-tension amigurumi techniques and reinforced stitching, our pieces are built to hold their shape and structure for years—from nursery shelves to office desks, studio spaces, and forever homes.
