Our Story

Soft things, sharp taste.

Hi, I’m Sky. The founder, maker, and hands behind every stitch at Knots in the Sky.

What started as a stress-relief hobby during nursing school quickly turned into an obsession with yarn, texture, and the tangible quality that only comes from making something by hand. Knots in the Sky was born from that focus. Today, it’s a one-woman studio rooted in craftsmanship, originality, and a firm refusal to settle for the mass-produced.

The name? It’s a nod to me (Sky) and a bigger nod to the knots (the crochet stitches) that hold it all together. Whimsical, yes. But also intentional. Just like the work itself.

More Than a Soft Object

From animal plushies to baby hats, every piece is made with modern design, thoughtful materials, and more care than any factory could fake. You’re not just buying a product; you’re investing in a piece with a story, made to last.

What “Handmade” Means Here

No vague promises. No greenwashed fluff. Just real practices that reflect real values:

Eco-conscious packaging: Recyclable boxes, biodegradable tape, reusable muslin gift bags.

Low-waste production: Small-batch runs and plushies stuffed with our own yarn scraps.

Smart sourcing: Primarily Oeko-Tex certified yarn purchased in right-sized amounts.

The Bottom Line

Knots in the Sky is a quiet rebellion against fast everything. It's for people who believe quality, sustainability, and a little design obsession should go hand-in-hand. If you're here, you get it.

Welcome.
